Sense and sensibility

Most lamps only reveal their full radiance when switched on. Equinox is quite different. Its strong, object-like character and sensual materiality don’t need light to have an effect. Even when switched off, it seems to glow, appealing to both: sense and sensibility.

Nothing about this luminaire is l’art pour l’art, everything is highly functional: finely cut alabaster is translucent and therefore ideal for atmospheric illumination. The waist-like notches give structure to the proportions and prevent the straps from slipping, while the elongated shape ensures generous light distribution over tables.
